It has been a rollercoaster few weeks for the husbands and wives in Married at First Sight UK. Here are some of the highlights that might have been missed.
Nathans Awkward Blunder
Lacey was left fuming at the alter after groom Nathan could not stop looking at her twin sister. It was Paige who walked first in a stunning pink gown, but Nathan thought it was Bride Lacey and gasped, saying oh wow! When Lacey eventually walked down the aisle, all he could say was that she looked nice. This is not what she wanted to hear. Lacey and Nathan are stronger than ever now and are already talking about life on the outside together.
Casper’s Comments
It had been obvious from the wedding day that Casper didn’t have the same feelings that Emma did. Whilst on their honeymoon, Casper delivered the most brutal remark in all nine seasons of the show. He bluntly told her that not only does he not find her attractive, but he also never dates anyone who has curves as it isn’t his type. This left Emma heartbroken and in tears. The couple still hasn’t patched things up and is heading for a split at the next commitment ceremony.
Two Couples Leave
The commitment ceremonies are usually intense when the couples are deciding whether to stay in their current relationship or leave the experiment; this was a commitment ceremony that had everything you would ever need.
This shocking moment concerned Hannah and Stephen, who were already on a rocky road after their honeymoon. Hannah threatened to share a secret that Stephen told her in confidence to the cameras, and they had been apart ever since. The moment comes after Hannah admitted to kissing another husband, Orson, during a retreat that they went on.
Orson and his wife Richelle have also been going through a rough patch. Richelle claims that she can’t stand Orson and blaming him for missing her daughter’s 21st birthday, both couples decided to leave the show.
Alex V Polly and Sacha
Alex and Sacha clashed during a heated argument when the husbands and wives all go on separate days out. During this Alex had been making comments about all the women in the experiment but not saying anything about the men, which is when Polly and Sacha got involved and called him out on it. He then also told Sacha all she wore was fake jewellery which upset her and brought the bride to tears as it was something that Ross had bought her. Instead of talking back, Alex sat across from the girls, laughing and smirking, which annoyed them even more.
The argument continued into the next night’s dinner party, where, this time, Ross was getting involved in all the drama. Polly and Sacha wanted apologies for the way they were treated at the spa day, but Alex was not in the mood to give one to them. Ross went to confront Alex and asked him to apologise to Sacha, but he believed he had done nothing wrong, leaving Ross also fuming at him. Alex proceeded to smirk and smile at the girls all night, just antagonising them even more.
An Explosive Dinner Party
During the fifth dinner party, chaotic scenes saw Kieran kiss Polly, leaving his wife Kristina sobbing. Kieran was laughing with Polly and Adam and he then kissed them both on the lips, with Kristina watching on. Although it was a joke, Kristiana was devasted by this, especially because Kieran had started having doubts about the relationship and if it was even working for them.
At the same dinner party, Emma and Casper’s relationship is done as Casper reveals that he’s using Emma as a test for other relationships.
