‘Glue Song’ by TikTok star Beabadoobee: Single Review

Katherine Witts

Beabadoobee has released her viral TikTok love song, Glue Song, after teasing fans since August.

It’s a song that has been used on thousands of TikToks and has done its rounds as a ‘viral sound’. Beabadoobee, also known as Bea, finally released the full song on February 14.

She is no stranger to creating catchy lyrics. From her hit singles death bed and the perfect pair, she has arguably become a TikTok sensation and one of the angelic-voiced musicians of our age.

“Don’t forget to kiss me. Or else you’ll have to miss meI guess I’m stuck forever by the glue”

Glue Song, dedicated to her partner Jacob Erland, is a beautiful blend of Bea’s soft vocals, violin, drums, and acoustic guitar. Hearing the violin and acoustic guitar introduces us to the song and sets us up for a timeless, dreamy love story. Bea states throughout the song how she’s devotedly in love, and “stuck forever by the glue”. She illustrates the pure nature of her and her partner’s love. Their love is simple and sweet, and she is happy to have found someone like him.

“The song is an intimate reflection of her relationship”

The track, having been released on Valentine’s Day, furthers the sentiment behind the song. It acts as if it’s a gift and demonstration of her love for her partner. Bea’s music video was directed by herself and her partner, further adding to the sentiment of the song. The single is an intimate reflection of her relationship and past insecurities of thinking she would “never find you [her partner]”

The singer-songwriter has gained a lot of attention in recent years and is now set to support Taylor Swift in her upcoming US tour. We’re excited about what Bea has in store for us, especially if there are more wholesome tracks to come.
