Celebrities have an increasing amount of pressure put onto them to have the perfect image. But does this sometimes cause people to forget that they are ordinary people? It is only times when celebrities or influencers slip up that people remember they are just like everyone else.
Two weeks ago Sam Fender admitted to not just being hungover, instead “really, really hungover”, whilst on the BBC Breakfast show. The 25-year-olds interview was shared across social media with a mixture of opinions. After his confession, the presenter Nina Warhurst, thanked him for his honesty.
The interview was the morning after he played Jools Holland and then went to St James’s Park for his ‘launch party’. Whilst on the breakfast show sofa, Sam said: “I did about thousand selfies, got proper mobbed, but everyone was absolutely class and they gave us a lot of cans… and I’m really hungover. I’m really, really hungover.”
He then went on to add: “But these thing happen, don’t they?”
This may be something that people forget happens to celebrities and not only ordinary people. The video was met with people applauding Sam Fender for his humbleness and hoping the best for his hungover self.

But this may have helped Sam Fenders new album ‘Seventeen Going Under’, win its spot at number one in the UK. The album was released on the 8th October and has left Fender with two UK number one albums.
The news was presented to him by no other than his fellow Geordie’s Ant and Dec. Sam shared the video across social media of the duo giving him his Official Charts Number One award.
