Lauren is a freelance journalist, Deputy Editor at Empoword Journalism and Senior Features Editor at Epigram. She has bylines in Bristol 24/7, HerCampus, Empoword and Epigram.
Eve is 22 years old and lives in Swansea. She is currently a third-year student at Cardiff University where she studies BA English Literature. Aside from Empoword, Eve writes for her university's magazine, online sports campaigns, and Buzz Magazine. Her main interest is in lifestyle writing, particularly health, food, and travel.
Emma is one of our Editor In Chiefs here at Empoword Journalism and a final year journalism student at Edinburgh Napier University. When she isn't studying or editing articles, Emma enjoys keeping active at the gym, going on walks, journaling and reading books.
Eleanor is a publishing hopeful and Philosophy graduate based in York. Outside of her work for Empoword, she writes for The Publishing Post, volunteers at her local library and is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Missive Mag, an epistle-themed literary magazine.

Poppy graduated from the University of Reading in June 2022, with a degree in Philosophy and Politics. She currently works as Welfare Officer at Reading Students Union, and is starting formal journalism training in September 2023 at News Associates. She has a keen interest in human rights, social action, and the intersectional feminist movement.
Originally from North Wales, Beth is a second year English and Journalism student at Cardiff University. As well as a contributor, Beth is a news editor for "Gair Rhydd", her university's newspaper. When she isn't writing, you'll find her reading, cooking or on a (very slow) run.
Michaela is currently studying journalism at the University of Technology Sydney and is an aspiring journalist with an interest in politics, human rights and international communication. She is an active contributor to her university newsroom Central News and is the 2023 Editor-in-Chief of the UN Youth NSW magazine the Global Advocate, as well as a Current Affairs Editor for Empoword.

Usually based in Birmingham, Kara is currently studying Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick where she continuously participates in student-led journalism as the Editor-in-Chief of LEFT Magazine. When she's not writing about the big issues in Politics, you'll find Kara in the gym or cooking (badly).
Katie is one of our Current Affairs Editors. She recently finished her undergraduate degree in Politics and will be starting her Master’s in Politics and Contemporary History in September 2023. Katie is a regular contributor to Empoword and previously worked as our Twitter Editor.
Aisha is a BBC Journalism Researcher and Durham University graduate, originally from Birmingham and now based in Manchester. She recently gained a gold standard NCTJ diploma, and specialises in sport, politics, and pop culture reporting (and, wherever possible, the blend between the three!).

Victoria Heath is an English Literature and Creative Writing undergraduate student at the University of Warwick, with a keen interest in opinion and current affairs journalism. When she's not writing, you'll find her planning her next travel destination or listening to Phoebe Bridgers.

Gargi is a third year BA Journalism and Communications student at Cardiff University, passionate about writing, food and films. Hence, it is no surprise that one of her all-time favourite comfort films is Julie & Julia. Nargiz Mammadzada was born in 1997 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and lived there until 2021. In 2021, she decided to move to Poland and start her Master's Degree there. She graduated in 2023 and decided to end her academic career after that. She is also a writer for the Canadian website TheTravel.com and the Australian magazine "Life Lovers".
